When are your busiest times?

Our peak times are Monday thru Friday from 5:30-8:00am and 5:00-7:30pm.

 

Do you match prices from other fitness centers?

We do not match prices because our facility has different amenities than others. Our prices are very competitive, and in most instances less than clubs of the same stature.

 

Do I have to join for a whole year or are monthly options available?

We offer a variety of membership options, annual options (pay in full) or month to month (EFT) options which are both on a year commitment. One, two and three month options are also available.

 

If I am not a member, can I still workout?

Daily rates are available at ARC Center. They are payable at the customer service desk.

 

Can my children work out with me?

Yes, youth ages 12-13 must be supervised by an adult 18 years of age at all times. Track memberships allows children between the ages of 8-12 the ability to use the indoor track under the direct supervision of an individual 16 years or older. Children 13 years or older can be on the Track on their own.

 

Do you have child care?

Yes, we have a fabulous childcare program located in the TREEHOUSE that accommodates children 3 months thru 12 years.

 

Do you have memberships for just a few days a week or weekend-only memberships?

We do not. All ARC Center Fitness members’ memberships entitle the member to use our facility whenever we are open.

 

Can I keep my own locker?

Lockers are on a first come, first served basis and all belongings must be removed before the end of the business day.

 

Can I put my membership on hold if I go away?

Most memberships may only be put on hold for medical reasons.

 

Do you give senior discounts?

Yes, seniors age 55 years and older receive a substantial discount. Discounts are also granted for youth and specialty membership.

 

Is the ARC Center a West Chicago Park District facility?

The ARC Center is owned and operated by The West Chicago Park District.

 

Why do I have to pay a membership fee when I pay taxes to the Park District?

The ARC Center is ran as a private revenue generating facility. Rather than tax dollars, the club is run from the revenue it generates from memberships, programs, rentals and other means.

 

Will someone show me how to use the equipment?

Yes. All members are encouraged to have a personal trainer consultation and an equipment orientation, which is included with your membership.

 

Do your trainers have certifications?

Yes. Our trainers hold some of the top certifications available and have been educated in Exercise Science to nationally accredited institutions.

 

Are group classes included?

No, our group exercises classes are not included; however, members are discounted when purchasing group exercise classes.

 

Do you have an indoor and outdoor pool?

No, we do not have an Indoor pool located in the ARC Center. In the summer time, Turtle Splash Water Park is located just next to the ARC Center, additional admission fees required. 

 

Is the basketball court always open or are there certain hours?

The basketball courts are available if we do not have previously scheduled programs or rentals going on at that particular time. We do offer scheduled open gym on a weekly basis as advertised in our Open Gym Hours.

 

Do you have racquetball or tennis?

The ARC Center does not offer any indoor racquetball or tennis courts. However, we do offer pickleball, please look at the athletics page for the open gym schedule for times and dates. 

 

I took time off from the fitness center, can I get a refund for the time that I was off?

Non-usage is not a valid reason for a refund or cancellation. Your membership may only be cancelled for medical reasons or if you move away permanently. Your request must be made in advance and you must submit applicable documentation.

 

Do I need to bring a lock?

All of lockers are keyless lockers that are located in the fitness center accessible to ARC Center members. Further, for Track Memberships, we offer small keyless lockers located upstairs before you enter the Track.

 

Do I need to bring towels?

No. Towel service is included with your membership.

 

Can I wear my outside shoes in the fitness center?

We suggest clean shoes be worn in the facility at all times.

 

Do you offer college memberships?

College students can take advantage of our one month pass option.
