ADULT PROGRAMS

Discover a world of adult recreation at the West Chicago Park District. Engage in art workshops, board game play, social gatherings, trips and more. Our adult programs encourage social connections, offering opportunities to make friends and build a sense of community.

Open Game Play

Grab your friends and join us for Open Game Play. We will have a variety of games on hand to choose from, or bring your own! Choose from Mahjong, Cards, UNO, Rummikub, Yahtzee, Pinochle, Dominoes, Boggle, Scrabble and Cribbage.


NOTE: Mahjong players must have the required card which can be purchased here: nationalmahjonggleague.org. Located at the ARC Center. 

Entire Season of Open Game Play is $10 per chosen day or pay by day at the front desk for $2. 

Paint & Sip

Join us for an evening of paint & sip as Pinot’s Palette brings the studio to us! Painters 21 and over may bring their own bottle of wine with them to enjoy. All painting supplies included. 

Social Gatherings

Each month we gather at the ARC Center to chat with our friends, enjoy entertainment and, of course, eat.

Pre-registration is required for all social gatherings so we can be sure to have enough food for everyone!

There is a registration deadline and space is limited. Note: Please do not bring a dish to pass; all gatherings will be catered.

Fireman Fish Fry

Members of IAFF Local 3970 will be frying up the fish once again!  Please join us at the ARC Center for our annual fish fry. This event is sponsored by the West Chicago Professional Fire Fighters Association - IAFF Local 3970.

Registration deadline: October 6 at 12:00pm.

Thanksgiving Feast

Gather at the ARC Center to celebrate Thanksgiving with a traditional Thanksgiving feast.

Registration deadline: November 3 at 12:00pm.

Holiday Celebration

Ring in the holidays with us at our Holiday Celebration! Please bring a wrapped gift worth no more than $5.00 for a little holiday fun! Entertainment will be provided by the Ukulele Moonshiners.

Registration deadline: December 8 at 12:00pm.

Trips

Come join us as we travel to places nearby. Whether its seeing new sights, hearing new music or trying new food, there is something for everybodyAll day trips are in cooperation with the Warrenville and Winfield Park Districts and may depart from Warrenville, West Chicago or Winfield Park Districts. Departure locations will be emailed 1-week prior to trip date. After the registration deadline, trip registrations can be refunded only if a spot can be filled by a participant on the waitlist.

Youth under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult. 

The Andrew Sisters

The Andrew Sisters Sweet Reminder is a dynamic duo that entertains audiences with the hits of yesterday in their unique playful style! Beautiful vocals and interesting harmonies meet light-hearted fun, as Nancy Baumet and Dia Madden invite you to join in an engaging musical experience. These former Legacy Girls are no strangers to delighting audiences with their upbeat personalities as well as their great vocals.

Charlie & the Chocolate Factory

This fantastical musical follows young Charlie Bucket and his Grandpa Joe as they join four other Golden Ticket winners to tour the magical and mysterious chocolate factory of eccentric “Candy Man” Willy Wonka.  When the factory gates are opened, experience the lifechanging journey through a world of “Pure Imagination,” revealed with Wonka’s army of curious “Oompa-Loompas.” Who will win the lifetime supply of chocolate? STEP BEHIND THE GATES AND DISCOVER WHAT AWAITS. Paramount Theater lobby will be decked out for the season with a giant two-story, fully decorated Christmas tree and all the trimmings.

White Fence Farms – Sweet Reminders of Christmas

The magic of the holiday season comes alive as Sweet Reminder celebrates “the most wonderful time of the year” in their signature playful style! Enjoy familiar holiday tunes that are near and dear to your heart while also perhaps experiencing some in a whole new way! A special tribute to the songs of some of the Christmas television specials from years ago will evoke the warm fuzzy feelings of simpler times. Beautiful vocals, interesting song facts, quirky props, a healthy dose of humor and a bit of audience participation make Sweet Reminders of Christmas a fun stop on your holiday good-time to-do list! Guaranteed to put you in the mood to Deck the Halls and Jingle your Bells!
