FREE Public CPR/AED/First Aid Training

Do you know what to do in a cardiac, breathing, or first aid emergency? The right answer could help you save a life. With an emphasis on hands-on learning, our FREE CPR/AED/First Aid Training course during National CPR and AED Awareness Week will give you the knowledge and skills needed to help save a life. Pre-registration is required. A certification card through the American Safety & Health Institute may be purchased for $35. (Ages 15+)

Open Game Play

Grab your friends and join us for Open Game Play. We will have a variety of games on hand to choose from, or bring your own! Choose from Mahjong, Cards, UNO, Rummikub, Yahtzee, Pinochle, Dominoes, Boggle, Scrabble and Cribbage.


NOTE: Mahjong players must have the required card which can be purchased here: nationalmahjonggleague.org. Located at the ARC Center. 

Entire Season of Open Game Play is $10 per chosen day or pay by day at the front desk for $2. 

Social Gatherings

Pre-Registration is required for all social gatherings so we can be sure to have enough food for everyone!

 

Note - DO NOT BRING A DISH TO PASS, all gatherings will be catered. There is a registration deadline and space is limited.

Fabyan Villa Museum & Japanese Garden

Join us for a day of taking in the beautiful Fabyan Villa Museum and Japanese Garden. Experience the uniqueness of Japanese gardening and enjoy a moment of harmony with nature while strolling the winding path of this 100-year-old site. When visiting the Villa Museum, now listed on the National Register of Historic Places, you will discover the Fabyans’ uniquely fascinating legacy. Wandering Tree Estate Tour July 6, 2023

Calling all train and garden lovers! This exceptional estate features the best of both worlds containing vast gardens and various train layouts. After touring the botanical gardens, patrons can view the expansive train models. After you are astounded by the outdoor model, it will be time to head inside into the Harvey Silets Memorial Chicago Model Railroad Museum. This outing can be a unique trip for yourself or for grandchild and grandparent combos.

Durant House Museum Pickling Party & Tour

In 1837, Bryant Durant moved from Massachusetts to northern Illinois. The homestead will be filled with aromas of vinegar, spices and herbs during this program. Our tour includes a private Pickling Party. Visitors will be shown the importance of certain tasks of pickling that prevent foods from spoiling. Visitors will get to ask questions and learn pickling techniques that they can bring home to preserve all their summer produce!

Pride of Oregon Boat Cruise & Lunch

The group will travel to Oregon, IL to board the Pride of Oregon riverboat. Trip includes a relaxing summer river cruise, lunch and transportation. Join your friends on this relaxing river cruise with lunch while sailing! Fee includes transportation, lunch and cruise.

Midway Village Museum Tour
