PAVILION RENTALS

The West Chicago Park District has several Picnic Pavilions available for rent May 1 through August 31. Reservations can be made through our office which is located at 201 W National Street in West Chicago, IL or online. We do not reserve without payment.

Rates

Rental rates are per day, per pavilion and are non-refundable/non-transferable.

832 Arbor Avenue

The Central Pavilion features a covered pavilion and five picnic tables in the heart of Reed-Keppler Park. Located near three playgrounds, baseball/softball fields, skate park, and Turtle Splash Water Park. Capacity is 30.

CORNERSTONE

2199 Smith Road

The Cornerstone Pavilion features a covered pavilion and four picnic tables. Located near a playground, sand volleyball court, baseball/softball field, soccer fields, and a catch-and-realease pond.
Capacity is 40.

The Don Early Pavilion features a covered pavilion and four picnic tables. Located near a playground, walking trail, and a catch-and-release pond. Capacity is 40.

The Kress Creek Pavilion features a covered pavilion and four picnic tables. Located near a playground, disc golf course, and trail system. Capacity is 40.

The Meadow Pavilion features a covered pavilion and three picnic tables. Located near a playground and walking path connecting the park to Meadowlark Drive.
Capacity is 30.

NORTH

832 Arbor Avenue

The North Pavilion features a covered pavilion and three picnic tables in the heart of Reed-Keppler Park. Located near three playgrounds, baseball/softball fields, skate park, and Turtle Splash Water Park. The North Pavilion is located on the North side of Reed-Keppler Park by Field 6. The North Pavilion is accesssible from the North entrance on Arbor Avenue. Capacity is 30.

PIONEER

479 W. Forest Ave

The Pioneer Pavilion features a covered pavilion and four picnic tables. Located near a playground, splash pad, baseball/softball fields, and a catch-and-release pond. The Pioneer Pavilion is located in the middle of Pioneer Park near the Splash Pad and is accessible from West Forest Avenue and Pearl Road.
Capacity is 50.

PRAIRIE

250 W. National St.

The Prairie Pavilion features a covered pavilion and eight picnic tables. Located near three playgrounds, baseball/softball fields, skate park, and Turtle Splash Water Park. The Prairie Pavilion is located on the West side of Reed-Keppler Park between the ARC Center and Turtle Splash Water Park. The Praire Pavilion is accessible from National Street. Parking is available in the ARC Center or Turtle Splash Water Park parking lots.

Capacity is 80.

PRESTONFIELD

399 Hemlock Lane

The Prestonfield Pavilion features a covered pavilion and three picnic tables and a playground. The Prestonfield Pavilion is located in Prestonfield Park and is accessible from Hemlock Lane.
Capacity is 30.

TURTLE

129 W. National Street

The Turtle Pavilion features a covered pavilion and four picnic tables in the heart of Reed-Keppler Park. Located near three playgrounds, baseball/softball fields, skate park, and Turtle Splash Water Park.
The Turtle Pavilion is located on the East side of Turtle Splash Water Park.  Parking is available in the Turtle Splash parking lot.

Capacity is 40.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

CAN I RESERVE A PAVILION FOR A CORPORATE EVENT?

​Pavilion rentals are intended for small family gatherings up to the limited number of individuals allotted for the pavilion. For a corporate rental, please contact the Park District at 630-231-9474 as additional information is required.

WHAT TIME(S) CAN I ACCESS MY PAVILION RENTAL?

​All pavilion rentals are full-day rentals from 9am until dusk. Reservations begin January 1 for rentals in the same year and can only be booked for the current year. Rental dates are only available from May 1 through August 31 of each year.

WHAT IF I HAVE PROBLEMS ON THE DAY OF MY RENTAL?

​We advise renters to have their receipts with them on the day of the rental to avoid any difficulties (someone else is in a reserved pavilion, etc.)

West Chicago Park District cleans and sets the tables first thing in the morning prior to your event. However, the West Chicago Park District does not have control if someone uses the pavilion before your rental. Please make appropriate arrangements. If you experience any issues, you may contact the district during normal business hours at 630-231-9474 or the West Chicago Police Department.

​HOW DO I KNOW IF A PAVILION IS RENTED?

​There is signage at each pavilion directing individuals to our website to check availability. There is no specific reservation signage posted at the pavilions. Pavilion renters should make sure they have their receipts with them on the day of the rental.

CAN I BBQ?

​Yes, you may bring your grill.

CAN I PUT UP A TENT?

​Small "tents" such as canopies are permitted. Large rental tents or anything that requires stakes longer than 6" is not allowed.

CAN I RENT A BOUNCE HOUSE TO BE PLACED NEAR MY RENTAL PAVILION?

​Due to safety and state regulations inflatables are not allowed in the parks.

CAN I HIRE A CATERER/FOOD TRUCK?​

​You may hire a caterer or a food truck for your family event. Food trucks must park in a parking lot and caterers must be able to transport their items by foot from the nearest parking lot. It is the recommendation of the Park District that all renters make sure their food service provider is properly licensed and insured.

WILL I HAVE ACCESS TO ELECTRICITY, WATER, AND INDOOR TOILETS?

Electric hook-up and running water are not available. Porta potties are available in our parks.

ARE THERE ANY OTHER RULES I SHOULD BE AWARE OF?

West Chicago Park District rules, regulations, and ordinances may not be violated. The following items/activities are not allowed on the park district property: alcoholic beverages; drugs; flammable decorations; gambling; loudspeakers or amplification; advertisement of any kind, use of the facility for monetary gain, selling of food concessions; soliciting; obscene language, pictures, or writing.

All parking must be in parking lots, vehicles are not permitted on grass or trails at any time.

West Chicago Park District is not responsible for loss of personal property or personal injury. No damage to any equipment or buildings. Any damage to the shelter or grounds will be charged to individual or group signing permit. Users of pavilions may be asked to provide liability insurance. The user must also agree to hold harmless the West Chicago Park District for any accidents resulting in bodily injury or property damage.
