The West Chicago Park District offers a variety of athletic programs for youth and adults to enjoy indoor and outdoor sports. Learn soccer, basketball, baseball, pickleball, golf and more, and develop skills such as coordination, team work and resilliance.

Adult Athletics
Beginning Golf Clinic for Adults

This highly-demanded program is designed for the relative newcomer to Golf. Each session will specialize in putting, chipping, and full-swing techniques. Range balls will be provided. Please bring putter and clubs to the first class (if you have one). If you do not have clubs, they can be provided.

Disc Golf Tournament

Welcome to the highly anticipated Disc Golf Tournament at Kress Creek Farms Park! Game will be played as nine holes, best disc, shotgun start with two golfers per team. All participants will receive a disc to use and take home with them.

Recreational Adult Pickleball Tournament

Join us at the ARC Center for some fun and friendly competition! This tournament will feature a mixed-doubles Round Robin tournament followed by single-elimination playoffs. Fee includes game-play, lunch, and prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Players must form their own teams and have their Team Captain register. Games are self-officiated.

3-on-3 Basketball Tournament

Players will participate in a Round Robin tournament followed by single-elimination playoffs. Players must register individually but will form their own teams. Games are self-officiated.

Youth Athletics
"Let the Work Show" Basketball Skills Training

In this 5-week program, players will improve fundamental Basketball skills. Each week will focus on one of the five key skills (dribbling, finishing, passing, shooting, and defense), with participants leaving with increased self-esteem and a better understanding of the game. Classes are taught by TS Basketball Skills Training instructors.

Inter-District Youth Baseball League

In this coed league, participants will learn the basics of Baseball. Fees include team shirt. Actual game and practice times are scheduled once teams are formed. Requests for teams, players, coaches, and practice days are accepted, but cannot be guaranteed.

Youth Tee-Ball League

In this coed league, participants will learn the basics of Baseball and Softball. Practices at Cornerstone Lakes Park and games at Reed-Keppler Park are each held once per week. Actual game and practice times are scheduled once teams are formed. Fees include a team hat and t-shirt. Requests for teams, players, coaches, and practice days are accepted, but cannot be guaranteed.

Beginning Golf Clinic for Kids

The Beginning Golf Clinic for Kids is the ideal platform for introducing young enthusiasts to the fundamentals of golf and instilling essential etiquette. Geared towards beginners, this class offers comprehensive instruction in basic golf techniques, covering swings associated with all clubs. Participants will learn the proper form for putting, chipping, and executing a full swing under the guidance of experienced instructors. Please bring your own clubs if you have them, if you do not have clubs they will be provided for use at this clinic.

Soccer Shots is an engaging children’s soccer program with a focus on character development. Our caring team positively impacts children’s lives on and off the field through best-in- class coaching, curriculum, and communication. Our coaches are the best-trained in the business. Our expert-approved curriculum is age-appropriate and aligns with childhood education standards.
