The Commissioners and Staff of the West Chicago Park District invite you, your family and your friends to join in our programs and enjoy our parks and facilities throughout West Chicago. The West Chicago Park District has been serving the community for 40 years. The Park District strives to maintain a balanced mix of programs and facilities to provide quality recreation for all ages. Leisure activities, and the positive use of leisure time make us all happier and enriches our lives, no matter how old or young we are. Whether you walk in the park, participate in a sport or enjoy a community special event, we hope you will benefit from the experience. We at the West Chicago Park District work hard to provide something for everyone. If we have not included your favorite activity, or you are interested in sharing your recreational skills with others, please let us know. We are here to serve your needs.

Pampered and Relaxed at Ladies Spa Night! Join us on February 4, 2012 from 6pm to 8pm for hand massages, manicures, facials, healthy snacks and fitness class demonstrations. You will leave rejuvenated and re-energized.

Registration for our Winter/Spring programs is currently in progress. Stay fit and healthy with a variety of fitness classes such as pilates, cardio kickboxing, prenatal and postnatal yoga, zumba, splash 'n' fit, strength training and more. Fitness Station offers 40 cent classes in January. Jump start your new year during the week of Jan. 2-7.

Turtle Splash Water Park Individual Season Passes go on sale Jan. 3... Individual Season Passes will be available for purchase or renewal at the Park District administrative office for the 2012 swimming season beginning Tuesday, January 3. Early Bird pricing ends April 12th, get you pass early and save!

Coffee with the Commissioners. Join the West Chicago Park Board Commissioners on Saturday mornings in January to ask questions and learn about the future of the Park District. Coffee and snack will be served. The Commissioners will be available in January at the following locations listed below:

Saturday, January 7, 8 to 10 a.m. at Egg Yolk Cafe, 100 S Neltnor Blvd.
Saturday, January 14, 8 to 10 a.m. at State Bank of Illinois, 600 E Washington St.
Saturday, January 21, 8 to 11 a.m. with Coffee with the Mayor at City Hall, 475 Main St.
Saturday, January 28, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Ace Hardware, 319 S Route 59

Upcoming... Chili Fest, Saturday, February 18, 5 to 7 p.m. at the American Legion, 123 Main St., West Chicago. Area fire departments will compete for the honor of Best Chili in West Chicago. Taste and vote for you favorite. All proceeds benefit the Illinois Fire Safety Alliance "Camp I am Me" burn camp. Mild, spicy or five alarm! Hot dogs with all the trimmings also included. Admission: $8 for adults; $6 for seniors and children 4-12. Please pay at the door.
