Important Information

As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak widens across the state and region, the West Chicago Park District continues to be proactive in monitoring the situation and taking guidance from the Illinois Department of Public Health, the DuPage County Health Department and the Center for Disease Control. 

​The following changes are taking place immediately:


  1. Treehouse birthday parties will be postponed, canceled or moved to the gym/MAC until further notice.

  2. Due to the closing of The Treehouse playground structure, Stay & Play will be canceled through the summer. 

Member Information:

  1. With July 1st a tentative open date for members, EFT Members will not be charged for the months of April, May, and June, July will be cut in half. 

  2. Drop & Go will not utilize the Treehouse structure and will be held elsewhere in the ARC.

  3. Pay-in-Full Annual Members will have their membership expirations extended for 105 days.  

  4. Single Month passes which expired during the closure will be extended.

  5. The Treehouse playground structure will remain closed through the summer. Check back for updates regarding Drop & Go services for when the ARC Center reopens.

The Treehouse

The Treehouse Play Area provides over 3500 square feet of fun including:

Drop & Go

This is the perfect way for parents to take a break, work out, run errands or even do some shopping. No fitness membership is required. Your kids will enjoy the many features of the Treehouse while being supervised in a fun environment.


  • Maximum time per day is 2 hours

  • 1:12 supervisor to participant ratio 

  • 24 hour advanced registration required for children under the age of one.

  • For safety reasons if the maximum capacity has been met, service may be delayed or denied.

Stay & Play Guidelines
  • Check-in is required at the customer service desk

  • No food or drink allowed in childcare area

  • No shoes allowed in play area

  • Socks are required to play in the treehouse 

  • No toys allowed on play equipment

  • All toys must be placed back in designated areas

  • Children must be supervised by an adult at all times

Drop & Go Guidelines

In order to provide a safe and effective care area, the following guidelines are enforced. By enrolling my child in Drop & Go, you are acknowledging your understanding and will abide by these guidelines:

  • For the health of children and staff, please refrain from bringing your child to the Treehouse if they have a runny nose with green mucus, a fever, has vomited or had a fever in the last 24 hours, or has any contagious skin disease.

  • Emergency contact and allergies information for your child must be provided at time of drop off.

  • Drop & Go ratio is 1 staff member for every 12 children. Service may be delayed or denied if our capacity has been reached. Rainout Line will be updated if our maximum capacity has been reached 630-255-7876 extension 12.

  • Drop & Go has a two (2) hour limit. 15 minutes after the first hour, you are charged for the full two hours. If you exceed the two hour limit, there is an immediate late fee of $5.00 per child. An additional $1.00 per minute/child will be charged thereafter. This fee is due at the time of pick up. At closing hours, if a child has not been picked up after all emergency contacts have been called, the police will be notified.

  • Treehouse staff DOES NOT change diapers. If you are in the process of potty training, your child MUST be in a pull-up.

  • If you have a child in diapers and are:

  • In the building: You are expected to respond immediately to a call from the Treehouse staff

  • Leaving the building: You are expected to return to the building within 20 minutes of receiving a call from the Treehouse staff. If you are unable to return during this time, you MUST make prior arrangements with a relative or friend who can return within this 20 minute time period

  • Every child must wear socks. Shoes must be removed upon entry to the Treehouse. Socks are available for purchase for $2.00 per pair from Treehouse staff.

  • Food and drinks are not allowed inside the Treehouse. Children are encouraged to bring a water bottle with their name on it.

  • Staff has the right to remove disruptive or sick children. Parents will be notified immediately.

Treehouse Rules:

  1. No Hitting                   

  2. No Biting

  3. No Kicking                  

  4. No Spitting

  5. No Scratching                            

  6. No Throwing Objects

  7. No negative physical contact

  8. No intentionally destroying Park District Property

    • Strike One: Written warning, parent/guardian signs form at pick up time.

    • Strike Two: Written warning, parent/guardian signs form and child must be picked up from Treehouse

    • Strike Three: Child removed from Treehouse and will not be able to attend Supervised Play for 2 weeks. No Refunds Given.

    • Strike Four: Child removed from Treehouse and will not be able to attend Supervised Play for 30 days from final/fourth write up. No Refunds Given.

    • If the Staff encounters behavior problems with any child, he/she will first attempt to resolve the problem with the child. If behavior continues, the incident will be documented as a write-up.

*Some actions may require an immediate dismissal for the day, at that time we request you promptly pick up your child.*
