PIONEER PARK

This community park is located on the south side of the city. Pioneer Park features a pond, 2 pavilions, a playground, one WCCHS soccer field, 5 baseball/softball fields and a splash pad. The park was redeveloped with the help of an Open Space Land Acquisition Development (OSLAD) grant and completed in 2011.

Splash Pad Hours of Operation: 10:00am - 8:00pm.

Season Dates: May 1 - Labor Day

PAVILLION RENTALS AT PIONEER PARK

The West Chicago Park District has several Picnic Pavilions available for rent May 1 through August 31. Reservations can be made through our office which is located at 201 W National Street in West Chicago, IL or online. We do not reserve without payment.

Rental rates are per day, per pavilion and are non-refundable/non-transferable.

PIONEER

Covered picnic pavilion, 3 picnic tables, playground. Park is accessible from a walking path connecting the park to Meadowlark Drive. The availability of port-o-lets is not guaranteed.
Capacity is 30.

PIONEER PLAY

Covered picnic pavilion, 5 picnic tables, playground, basketball courts, nearest to the splash pad (closed for the 2020 season), baseball/softball fields, catch and release pond, port-o-lets. The pavilion is accessible from the parking lot located off of Pearl Road.
Capacity is 50.
