West Chicago Park District offers a number of youth programming options from Holiday camps when schools are out to Magic classes, Ski trips, Dance classes, Tumbling, Summer camp and Trips to professional ball games. American Camp Association Accreditation

On Monday, June 23, 2008 the West Chicago Park District Summer Day Camp became accredited by the American Camp Association! Over the past year we have worked on setting goals for campers, improving safety through vehicles inspections, bus safety drills, lock down procedures, health awareness, higher hiring standards for staff, and better programming for campers. On June 23rd the Summer Day Camp was reviewed through observation, communication and written procedures. The West Chicago Park District Summer Day Camp passed the review with a 100%! This accreditation is a means of holding the West Chicago Park District and Summer Day Camp staff responsible for executing the policies and procedures that will keep campers safe, energized, and growing over the summer. Every 3 years the American Camp Association will review the standards and activities that have taken place over the previous 3 years and hold us accountable for those actions. The Park District and the Summer Camp are very proud of all of our hard work and energy that went into the accreditation process and hope that this helps parents feel more comfortable in their decision to leave their child in our care.
