Looking for a place to send your children on day's off school? Look no further! The West Chicago Park District has a fun filled day planned for your K - 6th grader! Exciting trips that include transportation and admission, supervised activities and snacks are included in our fun filled Day's off school program!

Drop-off and Pick-up Location:

Reed's Place - 250 W National St., WC

Drop-off and Pick-up Time:

7:30am to 5:30pm

Additional Important Information:

• All children must have sneakers and socks for all day off school trips.

• Please read the descriptions carefully in regards to lunch. A completely disposable sack lunch means that everything including the container the lunch is in can/will be thrown away.

• Please note "drop off your child times". Your child must arrive by the time listed to participate in the trip.

• Please let us know if your child has any allergies.

Friday, September 3rd: Reed's Place

Come spend your day off school at our new facility; Reed's Place! We will spend the morning playing outside, playing games and doing crafts. After lunch we will bounce around on the inflatable's. Morning and afternoon snack will be provided and we will have pizza and pop for lunch! Fee: $30R/$36NR

Friday, October 8th: MagiQuest

Come join us on your day off school to our magical trip at MagiQuest. MagiQuest is a live action video game for kids. You will use your magical wand to navigate through different levels and solve mysteries to defeat the red dragon. Before we head out on our journey we will have snack and activities at Reed's place. Please drop your child off by 10:00am with a completely disposable sack lunch. Fee: $35R/$42NR

Monday, October 11th: Monkey Joes

Join us as we travel to Chicago for a hand's on culinary experience! The Kid's Table puts your child right where the action is, involving them in everything from hand-washing to produce-washing, from food preparation to clean up, from table setting to eating the fruits of their labors. Children get a meaningful, hands-on experience, in a kitchen sized perfectly for them, while learning fun facts about the natural ingredients they're using. Please drop your child off by 9:00am, lunch will be provided. Fee: $35R/$42NR

Tuesday, November 2nd: LEGOLAND

Join us as we travel to Schaumburg where you will step inside the LEGOLAND Discovery Center and think you have just jumped into the world's biggest box of LEGO! Reach out and touch stars in the 4D cinema, learn top LEGO building secrets from the Master Model Builder, ride your dragon through the Medieval LEGO Castle and see iconic local landmarks in MINILAND! Please drop off your child by 9:00am with a completely disposable sack lunch. Fee: $35R/$42NR

Friday, November 5th: Rinkside Sports Center

Come play with us on our day off school trip to Rinkside Sports Center. We will spend the day playing laser tag, video games and end the day with ice skating. We will also have pizza and pop for lunch. We will have activities and snack before we head out. Children may bring extra money for tokens. Please drop off your child by 9:30am, lunch will be provided. Fee: $35R/$42NR

Monday, November 22nd: Whole Foods Cooking Party

Looking for something fun and new for your kids to do on November 22nd? Come join our day off school trip to Whole Foods where we will be making our own pizza, veggie faces, fruit kabobs, and ice cream sundae's with Chef Dawn! We will have activities and snacks before and after our trip to Whole Foods. Please drop your child off by 9:30am. Lunch will be provided. Fee: $40R/$48NR

Tuesday, November 23rd: Lunch and a Movie

Lights, Camera, Action! Join us on your day off school for lunch and a movie. We will enjoy lunch out and a rated G or PG movie at Classic Cinemas in St. Charles. We will have activities and snack before we head out to lunch. Please drop your child off by 10:00am. Lunch will be provided. Fee: $35R/$42NR
