You Said...YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On Tuesday, November 6th the West Chicago Park District placed a question on the ballot asking the community for bonds to be issued in the amount of $15,500,000 for the purpose of constructing, building, furnishing and equipping a recreation center.
THANK YOU WEST CHICAGO!!!!!!!!!!!

What's next?
At this point in time the Park District is working with the construction manager and architect to finalize the plans for the recreation center. Preparations are also being made with the City regarding the building of a new facility in West Chicago.

Upon completion of those tasks, approximately 4-5 months will be spent preparing construction documents for the bidding of the project, that work should commence toward the end of this year. Bidding would take place late spring 2013 and construction begin late summer/early fall of 2013. Barring any unforeseen issues, opening would be approximately Fall of 2014.
