Pioneer Park is Located on 30 acres featuring soccer fields, 4 baseball & softball diamonds, playground, gazebo, 2 outdoor basketball courts, and a pond. Pioneer Park is scheduled for several improvements such as a new children's splash pad, the conversion of the outdoor tennis courts to 3 on 3 soccer fields, and these are just a few of the scheduled improvements at Pioneer Park. Pioneer Park has one Pavilion for rent. The pavilion has a maximum capacity of 25 people. Thor-Guard is an integrated lightning prediction and warning system. Thor-Guard uses a highly sophisticated sensor and computer to measure and analyze the electrostatic field in the atmosphere. Lightning originates within this field, thus allowing THOR GUARD to make calculations predicting its occurrence, even though there may be no visible evidence of lightning. When lightning is detected you will hear one loud warning horn at that time you should seek cover immediately. When it is clear to return to the open areas of the park Thor-Guard will sound 3 (three) consecutive warning horns.
