West Chicago Park District offers various exercise classes.
Pilates Mat Class
Pilates is a style of exercise that places an emphasis on length using your own body weight for resistance. The end result being a long, lean, strong, flexible body. With regular practice your body will change from the inside out.
Beginning Pilates
Recommended for all beginners to Pilates or those with minimal experience. Exercises are taught slowly, with an emphasis on proper form and breathing.
Intermediate Pilates
For those who are experienced participants. Class content is more exercises with a higher intensity level.
Combo Pilates
This class is a combination of beginning and intermediate levels of Pilates. It serves as an excellent work out.
P.O.W.E.R. Flex
Enhance your everyday physical performance with an hour of strengthening, toning, functional training and stretching that you won't want to miss. Increased muscle mass will speed up metabolism, strengthen bones and your core, improve posture, joint mobility, and self esteem. Targets every muscle group to sculpt and define your entire body by using light weights, bands, stability balls and mat exercises. Exercises can be modified for any fitness level. Please bring a stability ball and bottled water to class. Weights are optional.
Cardio Kickboxing
This is a great cardio workout that targets the entire body. A fun way to "knock out stress" using a variety of punches, kicks, and basic aerobics. Emphasis will be on the proper form and technique to execute punches and kicks to ensure a safe, effective, and fun workout! Kick pads and punching equipment may be incorporated into class. Finish off with a challenging abdominal and toning segment using light weights and bands. Modifications will be demostrated for those new to kickboxing or returning kickboxers. Please bring a water bottle to class. Light weights are optional.
