Athletics - Football

• All tackle players MUST be 7 years old by 09/01/2010

• Players cannot be high school students

• Players who turn 15 between 09/01/2010 and the day after championship day can only play at the Varsity level

• Players should not exceed the maximum weight. We do not encourage weight loss in order to be on a certain team. A striper rule allows players who exceed the maximum weight to play on the team that is appropriate for their age (striper max. weights are listed in parenthesis). Stripers can only play Tackle, Guard or Center on the offense and defense lines. Stripers cannot play special teams.

• Safety is of the upmost importance. Wildcat Football will not allow a 100 pound 8 year old to play with 11 year olds. The maturity of an 8 year old is far different than the maturity of an 11 year old. Additionally an 11 year old who weighs only 82 pounds will not be allowed to play on the 80# team with 9 year olds. We reserve the right to turn away players due to safety risks.

Wildcat Youth Flag Football

Join our seventh season of instructional youth flag football! This program is designed for the younger kids who are new to football who would like to learn the basics before joining the Wildcat Youth Tackle Football Program. The season will correspond to the Wildcat Football schedule. Emphasis will be teaching fundamental skills and maximizing participation in practices and games for each participant. Season runs late July through Mid-November with home and away games being played on Saturdays and/or Sundays. Practices will be held week nights at Reed-Keppler Park. A copy of your child's Birth Certificate is required at the time of registration. For more information please visit the Wildcat Youth Football web site at www.wegoyouthfootball.com. All players must have an Athletic Program Code of Ethics form on file before the first practice.

Ages/Weight:

5 to 7 years old as of 09/01/2010

Flag Players CANNOT weigh more than 70 pounds

Registration Fees:

$50 (12/07/2009 through 04/05/2010) Register early and save $25!

$75 (04/06/2010 through 05/01/2010)

Registration on or after 05/02/2010 through 05/31/2010 will require FULL payment of $200

Mandatory Fundraising:

$125 (Raffle tickets are due by June 18, 2010 and are NON-REFUNDABLE, NON-TRANSFERRABLE and CANNOT be replaced if lost or stolen)

If there are multiple children in football or cheerleading from the same family a discount in raffle tickets will be issued (1st child sells $125, 2nd child sells $100, additional child(ren) sell $75)
