Coed Little Dribblers Basketball (grades 1 & 2): This program is designed to introduce your child to both fundamental skill development in practice settings and organized games. Our teams of Little Dribblers will have on practice per week and play games against other teams on Sundays once the season begins. Teams will be organized via a draft format conducted by the volunteer coaches and the athletic instructor. No teammate, friendship, coaching or car pool requests will be accepted. Participants must play on the team they are picked to be on. Volunteer head coaches and assistant coaches are needed for this league. Please call Mike at (630) 653-3811 Ext. 116 if you are interested in coaching. Practices begin the week of October 24th.
Fee:$57R/$69NR on/before October 2, 2011. $72R/$84NR after October 3, 2011.
Game Dates: 11/13, 11/20, 12/4, 12/11, 12/18, 1/8, 1/15, 1/22

Jr. Hot Shots Girls and Boys (grades 3 & 4): This program is designed to teach the fundamentals of basketball for both boys and girls. Participants will learn the rules of the game, team play, dribbling skills, shooting skills, and offensive and defensive movements. Emphasis is placed on having a fun learning experience. All players will practice the first two Saturdays as a group then be divided into teams for league play on Saturdays. Coaches will announce weekday practice times once teams are formed. If numbers allow, separate leagues for boys and girls will be formed. Please wear loose fitting clothing and gym shoes. All participants will receive a t-shirt. Practices begin the week of October 24th.

Travel Basketball (grades 4 through 8): Basketball season is here and it is time to play with the West Chicago Community High School Feeder Program. This season there will be an evaluation process that each player will go through in order to determine their skill level. This will assist the coaches in placing the players at their proper levels. The evaluation is open to all boys that live within District #94 boundaries (if there is a lack of numbers at any given level, a waiting list for outside district participants will be available at the West Chicago Park District). Please arrive at evaluation in shorts, t-shirt and gym shoes. Please bring a water bottle. Do Not Bring a Basketball, they will be provided.
Evaluation Dates: September 11th or September 18th (Each player only needs to attend ONE of these two days)
Evaluation Location: West Chicago Community High School Field House
Evaluation Time: 4:00pm to 6:00pm
Fee: $300 per player/per level (if chosen for a team) There is no fee for the evaluation.

Hot Shots Boys Basketball (grades 5 and 6): This program will have the same structure and include the same points of emphasis as the Jr. Hot Shots. This league works with the West Chicago and Winfield Park Districts. Both players who have played previously and newcomers to the sport will improve their fundamental skills by participating in this program. Practices will be at the coaches discretion and facility availability. Practices will begin the week of October 24th.
Hot Shots Boys Basketball (grades 7 and 8): This league is specifically designed for 7th and 8th grade boys. Practice will be once or twice per week with weekend and occasional weekday game. The basic fundamentals of basketball, sportsmanship and having fun will be covered. This is a great opportunity to tone your round ball skills prior to entering high school. In order to be consistent with our co-op Park Districts, the division of teams and placement of players will be done by an assessment and draft procedure. No special requests will be taken. This is a co-op program with West Chicago, Warrenville and Winfield Park Districts and games will be played at all 3 locations. Practices will begin mid-January at the coaches discretion and facility availability.
5th and 6th Grade:

Dates: December 3, 2011 through February 19, 2012
Registration Deadline: November 5, 2011
7th and 8th grade:
Fee: $90R/$105NR
Dates: January 28, 2012 through March 18, 2012
Registration Deadline: January 8, 2012
Quad Cities Girls Basketball (grades 5/6 and 7/8): This league is for girls and is played between West Chicago, Winfield, Warrenville and Carol Stream Park Districts. The season length will be determined by the number of teams that are registered in the league. The will be a post season tournament following the regular season. Games will be played on the weekends with some weekday games throughout the season. Practices will be at the coaches discretion and facility availability.
